“At the beginning of my professional journey, I never thought of becoming a journalist, but rather someone who could contribute to the battle against what hurts and affects us as human beings.”
The intense sun of El Paso, Texas, United States, witnessed my birth, but I grew up across the pond (as we say over there) in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México.
“El barrio” (the neighborhood) where I grew up allowed me to understand, from a very young age, the issues of inequality, drug conflicts, vandalism, lack of access to healthcare, and the extra struggle we face, those who were not born or raised among the social elite.
Over time, I found and understood the power and impact of responsible journalism, leading me to develop as a journalist in various media outlets. My television career allowed me to cover news of regional, national, and international significance and to be awarded multiple recognitions.
However, I’ve chosen to embark on a more solitary path to continue contributing to what truly matters: the well-being and progress of society. Immersing myself in events that inspire, transform, and, yes, are worth telling—stories that reveal “THE TRUE HUMAN SIDE OF THE STORY.”
